Welcome to my madness! (G)
Hi there. This is my first attempt at a Web page so bear with me if it's a little sparse and boring in the beginning. I will expand it further as I learn more about this. In other words, I have no idea what I am doing, but since I have never let that stop me before, I'm not about to start now. Hehehe. While I do spend a lot of time on my computer, I'm basically a novice at this. I understand next to nothing of programming, etc. I can do the basics pretty well and a few other things with some help as long as it's in English. Computerese gives me a migraine and I've been known to throw an instruction book or two across the room in frustration. I will probably need some help as this gets expanded but fortunately I have some wonderful friends who have offered to help me out. (That's you Lonstr-hehehe) I have no idea where this site is going right now. Only time will tell. Stay tuned.

About me.
As you may have gathered from the handle, my name is Bill and I am a big fan of all things Star Trek. I'm a single GWM, 47 years old, 6'2, 175, with brown hair and blue (though myopic) eyes. I am including a few pics in here as well so that others know what I look like. (Okay, so Tom Selleck has nothing to worry about - Sue me!) I am a psychiatric nurse by trade at a hospital outside of Boston and though it is demanding, I do really love my work. I also do visiting nurse work with psychiatric patients as well.   My interests include Sci-fi (esp. Star Trek, Star Wars and Babylon 5), computers, reading, creative writing (I have uploaded examples of both my serious and sarcastic sides), movies, music, travel, and cats. Ali Pasha (also pictured here) has been with me for 15 years. FAVORITES: MOVIES- Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Star Wars (most of them), Alien, Aliens, The Andromeda Strain, Star Trek (again most of them), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Playing for Time, Becket, The Conversation, Seance on a Wet Afternoon, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, A Star Is Born (1954), Funny Girl, All of Me, Murder By Death, My Best Friends Wedding, and of course the wonderful Lord of the Rings trilogy. AUTHORS-Grant Michaels, Richard Stevenson, Armistead Maupin, Joseph Hansen, Felice Picano, Nathan Aldyne, Michael Crichton, Steven King (before he realized he was Steven King), Ann Rice (see Stephen King) . MUSIC- Streisand, Journey, Elton John, Enya, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Simon, Donna Summer, Bruce Springsteen, Bette Midler, Gloria Estefan. PLACES-Provincetown, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Ogunquit.

Where was I, where am I, and who am I?
I grew up in both Massachusetts (where I currently reside) and Texas (where my heart still is). I have no idea where I will ultimately end up but that's one of the surprises that life ends up handing you. You just never know and I kind of like it that way. I've been working in the mental health field for over 27 years. I started out as a mental health worker and have spent the last 17 years as a Registered Nurse. I began my nursing career at a specialty mental health unit for the deaf, and then until recently was working for an acute care psych unit for latinos. I made a change recently and now work for an acute care psych unit outside of Boston when I got a very lucrative offer that I was not fool enough to turn down. Im much happier where I am now and I can at last afford to do a few of the things I really enjoy. I also cut back to three days a week at the hospital in addition to taking on a few private patients as a visiting nurse so that I could have more time to myself to relax and enjoy life instead of working all the time.

Relationship status and more about me.
I have been single for the last several years. I spent 4 of those years going back to college to get my Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Spanish. (In addition to English and Spanish I also do sign language) It was not easy going back to school full time days while working full time evenings at 38, but I really enjoyed it. I graduated 5 years ago at 42, Magna Cum Laude with double departmental honors, so I guess I did pretty well for an old geezer. (G) I am not all that happy with still being single but I guess I just havent met the right guy yet. I'm just not into the casual sex scene (well, most of the time). I'm hoping to find another similarly minded man somewhat near my age, and size, etc. Sense of humor is a must for me, and some intelligence would be nice as well. I prefer men with facial hair but that is not a must. It's more important to find someone with other more important qualities than the physical ones, even if they would be our preferences. CLOSING THOUGHTS I'm looking to make friends of all types but I certainly would not mind getting into a relationship again should the opportunity present itself. It has been awhile and I think I am ready to try again. So, if any of this has interested you, feel free to email me. Thanks. I hope to be updating this site as soon as I think that I know what I am doing. God only knows how long that will take.

Other pages on this site (Under construction)
I'm going to make a separate page for my other pages as it seems to be more of a pain to be adding them and linking them to this page because of the problems with having used a html package to create this home page.  It will be just much easier to make a different page with my own program and then link the other pages from there.  As I have said, I am still learning the ropes with this thing so please have some patience while I am making the updates.
